ABOUT US:
The Justin Sams Band style has been described as “storytelling through music” in a “pop Americana style”. In 2016, four experienced Atlanta, Georgia musicians formed The Justin Sams Band. Lindsay Petsch (guitars, banjo (gitjo), harmonica, vocals ~ last name rhymes with “stretch”), Tom Spach (bass, vocals ~ last name pronounced “Spock” ), Jason Maynard (guitars, vocals) and Matt Watkins (drums, vocals) began rehearsing songs written individually by Petsch and Spach. The two songwriters each have their own style which gives the band some breadth in terms of sound, style and content. The band’s hard working rehearsal schedule began to pay off later in 2016 with gigs in several quality Atlanta performance venues including Terminal West and Avondale Towne Cinema (a repurposed 1938 movie theater), The Vista Room and Venkmann's as well as large annual community festivals in the intown neighborhoods of Grant Park and Ormewood Park.
